1. 64th Avenue Water Quality Project
Decision Required: None.
        
The Mayor and Council will be briefed by the contractor regarding the details of the previously authorized grant project to improve water quality entering the Lower Beaver Dam Creek.

2. Cheverly Woman’s Club Grant Request
Decision Required: Whether to approve.

The Cheverly Woman’s Club has submitted a grant for Peace Camp funding.

3. Route 202 Road Diet – Bike Lanes
Decision Required: Whether to take a position.
        
The Mayor will present this item, which involves the establishment of bike lanes on Route 202.

4. Columbia Park Road Update
Decision Required: None.

The SHA and County have been asked to provide an update/progress report regarding the Town’s request for improvements/studies regarding the Columbia Park Road bridges and surrounding traffic.  The two entities have noted that they would submit updates prior to the meeting for the Town Administrator to present.

5. Law Enforcement Officers Pension System Resolutions
Decision Required: Whether to pass at the May Town Meeting.

The Mayor and Town Council were presented with a proposed change/improvement of the Cheverly Police Retirement and Pension system.  The new system requires the approval of two Resolutions to be submitted to the State of Maryland prior to the implementation of the new system.

6. Discussion Traffic Engineer
Decision Required: Whether to move forward.

The Mayor and Council requested the engagement of traffic engineer to look at the traffic patterns from Landover Road to Forest Road on the east side.  Specifically concentrating on the traffic associated with the two schools.


7. Discussion O-1-17 Amending the Election Section
Decision Required: Whether to introduce.

The Town Attorney has deemed that the current specifications for the handling of absentee ballots need improved definition.

8. Discussion O-2-17 Amending Military Leave Section
Decision Required: Whether to introduce.

The Town’s Code regarding Military Leave is not current with the Federal Military Leave requirements.  The current Federal Code

9. FY18 Capital Improvement Program Discussion.
Decision Required: None.

The Town Administrator will present an updated version of the Mayor and Town Council the staff recommendations Capital Improvement Program items for consideration for inclusion in the FY18 C.I.P.
